Can't join a watch party?
Flickcall connects you straight to your friends over peer-to-peer WebRTC, with no server in the middle. That keeps your calls private, but some networks block it. These fixes get almost everyone through.
These tips apply to both the host and whoever is joining.
1
Allow microphone access, then rejoin
Grant mic permission, refresh the page and restart the party.
This alone fixes it for most people — even on a VPN.
Read why it works.
2
Switch or disable your VPN
Try a different VPN server first. If that fails, disable the VPN.
A VPN extension must be disabled from chrome://extensions — just toggling it
off inside the extension isn't enough.
3
Try a different internet connection
Some networks aren't WebRTC friendly. Switching to another Wi-Fi
network usually does the trick.
4
Give a mobile hotspot up to 30 seconds
Hotspots can be slow to connect. Avoid low-bandwidth mobile
connections when you can.
5
Check your firewall
A corporate firewall, or one you installed yourself, can block the
ports WebRTC needs. Try turning your own firewall off briefly to rule it out.
