  3. Start the watch partyFirst time only: click the Flickcall icon in the Chrome toolbar and press Grant Permission. Then click the Flickcall logo on the video. It shows for a few seconds after play.
  4. Send the party linkYour friends click it and land on the same match, at the same spot. A live match needs their own match pass.

What you need for a FanCode watch party

  • Each of you on fancode.com on your own laptop. Highlights need no login; a live match needs each person's own match pass.
  • Chrome on a laptop or desktop works best. Other Chrome-based browsers may work too. Phones can't run Flickcall.
  • The Flickcall extension, free to add. A free Flickcall account turns on video chat.
  • A one-time Chrome permission for each of you. Without it, the Flickcall logo doesn't show on fancode.com.

FanCode watch party FAQs

Does FanCode have a watch party feature?

The FanCode web player has no watch party button. Flickcall adds one: a free FanCode watch party extension for Chrome that keeps the match in sync for everyone in the party, with video chat beside the player.

Do we both need a FanCode account?

Not for highlights: they play without a FanCode login. A live match needs each of you signed in with your own match pass. Without a pass FanCode shows a five-minute preview.

How does a live match stay together?

Each laptop plays its own live feed, a few seconds behind the ground. A pause or a play on one reaches the other within a second. Jumping back for a replay is not shared: Flickcall brings both laptops to the live edge instead.

Can we watch FanCode together long distance?

Yes, from different cities or countries, as long as FanCode streams that match where each of you is. Live sports rights differ by country.

Can I join a FanCode watch party on my phone?

No. Flickcall runs in Chrome on a laptop or desktop. Phones aren't supported.

What is free on FanCode?

Highlights and clips. Each highlight starts with a short FanCode ad on each laptop; Flickcall holds the party until both ads finish, then plays on together. Live matches are paid, and their ad breaks run inside the stream, so nobody waits.

Is Flickcall free?

Yes. Core features like video playback sync and chat are free on every supported platform. Video and voice chat come with a free weekly allowance. Paid plans unlock unlimited video chat, and only one person in the party needs one.
